Sports Themed Wedding Cakes
As you got through the process of trying to plan your sports themed wedding,
most likely come to the same conclusion we did, that there are very few resources
in this particular category. Finding a cake that suits your unique
needs might seem a difficult task. However, you will find that there are
several cake-makers in your area that will happily make you a beautiful,
awe-inspiring, sports themed cake. All you need to do is
provide the direction they need to make your vision come to life.
You can keep your sports themed item limited to a cake topper, or go
all out with a cake decorated in team colors and a mascot dancing across your
frosting. We've seen some great ideas in our dedicated search for
all things sports-themed. If you're a football fan, imagine a football
field cake. You could have your names at center field, or pictures
of your family & friends in the stands. It can be a

Your cake will be a focal
point. Guests arriving at the reception will be looking for your
wedding cake. If your a golf fan, consider a large round golf-ball with your
names imprinted where a logo would be on a regulation ball, or

With fondant frosting, and a little imagination, your cake-maker should be
capable of just about anything you can think of. A cake with faux
wooden floorboards and a basketball net will be a cinch to do, if
given enough time. Make sure you have clear image of what it is that
you want your cake to look like, you simply cannot afford to have your
baker take a good guess at what it is you're looking for. If you
want a cake that resembles a tiered stack of baseballs, make sure
that this is what you are getting. Bring photos, magazine clippings,
your team logo, jersey, etc. Bring whatever it is you need to get
your message across the your baker and give them lots of sports
themed wedding cake ideas. If the first ten cake-makers
tell you that they cannot make a wedding cake in the shape of a NFL
game ball, keep looking because there are so many talented
